There is no way this lack of maintenance. The trim fell off- there were no screws holding it on! Still love that aspect. Totally disappointed with the lack of service.
Because of Covid, they overcharge for disinfecting the unit before they will do anything. Then of course, every single item on my unit that needs fixed is not a warranty issue.
Imagine that! Flooring bubbles 4 inches high. Battery screwed after only Kms, not their problem. Slide leaking, user problem. The list was endless.
Very poor customer service from the dealership!! Everything from broken toilet, sliding door, the awning twice, flooring coming up, USB port, etc.
I get little to no help from Thor. Thor blames my service dealer, the service dealer blames the vendor, the vendor blames Thor.
No one wants to take responsibility and just get it done. Two of the issues keep me from camping in it. And each time I return I have two or three items that need to be fixed.
Wish I had never bought it. Hopefully this Helps others to find another brand. We receive great gas mileage with the diesel. The home computer screen is easy to control the camper amenities.
It has a great amount of inside and outside storage. We love the booth dinette area since we play a ton of board games. The enclosed shower is quite roomy.
Oven has never been used MotorHome has a 10" screen in dash radio with color camera's for rear monitoring and Left and Right sides, navigation package, bluetooth, and Sirrus Radio.
Lippert Auto Levelers. I have been trying to get this brand new RV fixed since May of Absolutely nothing has been done other than a breaker switch being reset.
I haven't even been able to use the vehicle yet because of all the problems. Two of the major problems are that the generator ran for twenty minutes and quit.
I took it to RV One and they couldn't fix it so I had to find another place. They found that a brand new Cummins Onan generator with 0.
What makes it worse is that the fuel pump is on backorder with none to be found in the world. More than likely there should be a recall on this certain generator because probably there are many with defective fuel pumps.
The second major problem with this RV is an electrical problem that completely drains the house batteries. RV One said it was just a breaker switch and reset.
When I picked it up the first time they not only to reset a breaker switch but also had to replace a fuse. Fuses don't blow and breaker switches don't pop just because they feel like it.
So henceforth there's an electrical problem somewhere. There are many other problems with this RV: Broken license plate light housing from aggressive installation at the factory.
Missing screen on front passenger side which they apparently can't get. Lining on the front curtain disintegrated from regular sunshine.
Sink cover sticks and breaks apart when opened. Drawer latches and tabletop holders broken. The bedroom divider won't close. Two days later when I was driving to Daytona to try and get the generator fixed the edges on the shelves of the kitchen cabinet fell off.
Mind you now, I haven't even had a chance to use this RV and it will be out of warranty in four months.
My advice for everyone considering buying an RV is to not even look at a Thor product. A couple of very minor items were resolved immediately, including balancing of tires and front end alignment and a couple of windshield chips.
All repaired quickly and at zero cost. Cruise America in Vegas was great during the purchase experience, including paying for my airfare from Salt Lake City to do the inspection and pickup.
Within a week, I drove cross country miles to Camden SC in four days. Very comfortable, stable to drive, no issues at all during the trip.
No issues, zero, none to day. Everything works, plenty of space, comfortable. Rear storage area is huge, carried my inflatable fishing pontoon, two inflatable kayaks, fishing gear with room to spare.
The only thing I did was upgrade the mattress on the rear RV Queen bed the stock one was terrible!
No slideouts, no TV, no oven - made to Cruise America specs for simple and durable, long lasting rentals. Yes, they are typically high miles K.
But I felt that they maintain them to last, and I also purchased a 5-year K drivetrain warranty for peace of mind. Unfortunately during the five years we have owned it we have had many issues with it.
The drive train fell out within the first few hundred miles. Most recently our full wall slide's gear box failed and had to be replaced.
It failed because there is damage to the floor that is causing the slide to catch when it is retracted and put undue strain on the gear box.
We have been told this large a slide should never have been a cable operated slide. While the gear box is covered under our extended warranty the repair to the floor is not considered mechanical and is not covered.
Additionally we are having issues with our levelers losing hydraulic fluid requiring the replacement of the leveler. We have replaced the circuit board for the furnace twice now because despite our best efforts we cannot determine how water is getting onto the board.
Even our RV tech is puzzled by this. Until we solve this issue the third circuit board will remain in the box. We had to replace the "control panel" in the outside water cabinet because of issues with the switch that allows you to change from city to tank, etc.
The furniture is peeling after less than five years despite the fact it is manufactured by Flex Steel. Very disappointing. A cushion to the sofa had to be replaced early on because the fabric backing tore around the velcro piece designed to hold the cushion in place.
The Vegas is a recreational utility vehicle, or RUV for short. What exactly is an RUV? The Thor Vegas is built on a Ford E chassis and is quite nimble on the road.
The Vegas has 5 floorplans, sleeping a minimum of 4 and up to 5. Vegas provides all the amenities that make traveling so great, in a compact, functional and truly fun way.
The first thing you notice about motor homes, apart from their ginormous exterior size, is that they all seem to have aftermarket audio systems controlled by near-microscopic buttons.
It takes a long time to figure them out and even longer to get yer fat fingers to hit the right buttons. Another thing I noticed right away was that when I turned on the turn signal, the CD player went mute.
Vision to the side and back is scary at first but you get used to it, mostly thanks to a convex mirror insert on the outside rearviews. Some backups were done on faith.
Give a wide berth to everything within about two blocks. Power and torque from the Triton V10 were good for in Not reassuring but about par for the category.
I drove the rig up to about 6, feet in the Sierras; then, as the road got narrower and maybe the power got less, I pulled over and enjoyed the view from there.
That night, camped out in the driveway of the Lancia engine owner, I enjoyed total comfort on that aft-cabin queen-size bed. The windows all had black-out, or near-black-out, curtains and it was peaceful as pie.
I could get used to this RV Lifestyle. But you could easily pay five times that for a really big Class A home.
There I saw a show special Thor Vegas for just 79 grand. So go to a show and get a deal. Or buy a year-old rig for a fraction of the price.
The industry is huge for new RVs but even huger for used. Shop around.
